The type of dentures depends on the number of missing teeth. For one, two, or three missing teeth, fixed prostheses can usually replace the gaps. However, if many teeth are missing and the remaining teeth are not strong enough to support a fixed prosthesis, removable dentures are used. Nowadays, even with multiple missing teeth, our first choice is implant-supported prostheses, provided the bone structure is suitable. If there is insufficient bone for implants or the patient’s systemic condition does not allow implant placement, removable dentures become the only treatment option.
In cases of complete tooth loss, we provide full dentures.
These dentures are made of acrylic and are fully supported by the jawbone and oral mucosa.
If some natural teeth remain, we use traditional partial dentures or precision (attachment) dentures.
